Puducherry, June 24: Today (Tuesday, June 24, 2025), a ceremony was held at Thavalakuppam Government Higher Secondary School in Puducherry to distribute free school bags and notebooks to students who have lost their parents. This initiative was organized by the Puducherry chapter of the Sharing and Serving Public Charitable Trust, Chennai. The event, presided over by the school's Vice-Principal, Mr. Rajasekharan, saw 24 students who have lost their parents receive free school bags. Additionally, all students studying at the school were provided with notebooks. Representing the trust, Lecturer Jagadeesan and Dr. Arun attended the ceremony and addressed the students, speaking about the importance of education, the trust's social welfare activities, and environmental protection. Mrs. Rudhra, the Higher Secondary School In-charge Teacher, delivered the welcome address at the event. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by the Headmaster, Mr. Noor Mohammed. The school's teachers and office staff made excellent arrangements for the event.
